There was a hope for Indian fans that India is in a good position after one of the best knock by "Wall of India" and "Mr.Cool" on day 1 when India Struggled at 32/4...
But after a fire power century by Lankan Opener DILSHAN Lankans on little bit upper hand...
On 3rd day Mahela's 200* makes India completely out of picture in tis match..
Causes for india:
1)Bowlers cant able to break partnerships especially Bhaji..Is he a speialist spin bowler??? Kumble was in the same position like Bhaji when he retired- Leaking runs and not taking wicks.. So Bhaji need rest and get back his confidence...
2) Another query raised Why MSD opens day 3 with Spin of 9 overs???? Early morning little bit dampness in pitch with seam movement in air, he missed tactics of Seam bowling attack.. But i think he want to finish those 9 ovrs with OLD BALL by spin and take NEW BALL for pacers.. But he shld have tried wit 2 or 3 ovrs wit pace attack...
3) No spirit from anybody for india in tat FLAT TRACK...
Focus on Day 4:
Now all depends on BATTING...Can Ind survive 4 or 5 sessions with Lankans SPIN attack?? Its like to be NZ test match played last yr (Gauti & Dravid) saved India...
If any miracle happens in a spell, then Indis feels confident to survive...With 2 days in field and seeing 200s,100s,50s the mindset of players s a huge ?...
Thing s We dominate only sessions in this match..But Lankans dominate is entire DAY of the match....
Day 4 - Day of Records to SL
Big partnership by Prasana (157*) & Mahela (275) worries india...
Now India have to face 824 balls to save the match....
Hope VIRU & GAUTI make a good start..Viru - Patience s the key !!!!!
Viru initially very quite, but after tea went for biggie and out on 51...
Dravid only spend 98 mins in dressing room in this match...So he s obvoiusly WALL at tis stage.Dravid give leg before at the end of day...
So Gauti 74*, Mishra (Night watchman) at crease...India trail by 144 wit 8 wicks in hand at end of day 4..

Gauti looks well set.[Key man].But tomo s a new day..Early morning little bit moisture will help seamers..So have to concentrate for first 1 hr..[SL dominate in tose hrs in 1st & 2nd day]
So IND dont think of entire day..They faced tis kind of situation in CHENNAI vs Eng 08 and NAPIER vs Kiwis 09..
In Chennai test our team chased 373 mamooth total wit sachin,viru,yuvi's help in 4 sessions..So in tat match planning of INDIA s amazing.Sachin and Co planned for every session on day 5 to reach 373 with initial blistering knock by viru...[ i bunked class for tis final day..i will never forget tis match]
In Napier test, Gauti,Dravid,VVS saved match in 2 days..especially Gauti - innings of his life time !!!!..
So Ind at same stage now...
Planning,Concentration,Patience,Put pressure on opposition r the key words for DAY 5...
The man went for DUCK (VVS) in 1st innings have to play his part..
Sachin proved prevouisly..Need him also..
DAY 5 RESULT:
Sachin and Gauti played another life time innings to save the match..
Gauti at his best of 114 and got his form back..
Master Sachin completed his 30,000 runs in International carrer and added another century to his table(43rd)..
VVS supported at other end..
Sangakara tried his best to rotate bowlers but FLAT TRACK didnt help his bowlers even World's best spinner Murali....
Result:
Match drawn and Mahela s man of the match..
Sangakkara: "A bit disappointed but a few surprises. The Jayawardenes, Dilshan and Samaraweera played well. We showed a lot of fight and spunk. It was a pretty flat track. We were thinking positive and needed something to go our way today but that didn't happen. But we're not too disappointed. Welegedara having to step in on the morning of the match, did fantastically. Prasad showed a lot heart to bowl at 140 plus with a hamstring. It's nice to see people put their hands up."
Dhoni: "We had to handle our nerves and that's what showed. We're proud of this achievement. The series will go close. We can bowl more disciplined lines, but apart from that the bowlers bowled their hearts out. It wasn't easy. We're not worried about the batting. We expected the track to have a bit more bounce for the spinners, but it favored the batsmen."
Moral:
"T20 s(FLAT TRACK) destroying the value of Test cricket"
